The Ohio Association of Area Agencies on Aging is part of a national group of facilitators trained by the FrameWorks Institute and the Reframing Aging Initiative to advance  a reframing communication strategy that uses evidence-based interventions to increase understanding of the aging process, support policies and programs for older people, and decrease ageist attitudes.

The strategy was developed by the FrameWorks Institute and was supported by eight leading national aging organizations collectively known as Leaders of Aging Organizations (LAO).  The eight involved organizations launched the Reframing Aging Initiative in 2014 as a way to address negative views of aging, promote more accurate perceptions of aging, and develop supportive aging policies.

Reframing Aging Facilitators work independently and are not employed by the LAO, the FrameWorks Institute, or the Reframing Aging Initiative.
