Professional Education & Training

The Ohio Association of Area Agencies on Aging (o4a) is committed to supporting professionals, advocates, and volunteers in the Aging Network through high-quality educational opportunities. Our trainings are designed to keep you informed and prepared in today’s ever-changing aging and disability services landscape.

Most o4a trainings offer Continuing Education Units (CEUs) to help you meet professional requirements.

Training Opportunities

  • Virtual Workshops

    • Aging in Ohio — A six-hour introductory training covering the fundamentals of the Aging Network, Medicare, Medicaid, and Older Americans Act programs.

    • Topical Webinars — Informational series exploring current issues and innovations in aging services.

  • Conferences

    • Annual Conference for Aging & Disability Networks — Ohio’s largest Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) conference, bringing together professionals across the field.

    • Advocacy Conference (biennial) — Focused on state and federal policy updates, state budget advocacy, and networking opportunities.

    • AAA Professional Development Conference (biennial) — Tailored to Area Agency on Aging staff, with a focus on leadership and professional growth.

CEU Certificate Policy

Effective January 1, 2023, o4a will charge a $30 fee to issue replacement CEU certificates. Payment must be received prior to re-issuance.
